The Cisco C9200CX-12P-2X2G-E is a Catalyst 9200CX compact fanless switch that provides 12x 10/100/1000 PoE+ ports and 2x 1G copper + 2x 10G SFP+ fixed uplinks, with a 240 W PoE+ (802.3at) power budget for phones, wireless access points and cameras. It delivers 68 Gbps of switching capacity and a forwarding rate of 50.59 Mpps, ensuring wire-speed performance for everyday business traffic. Its fanless design keeps operation completely silent, so it can be installed close to users.

The Catalyst 9200CX compact switches pack the Catalyst 9000 software experience into a silent, fanless enclosure designed for spaces outside the wiring closet - classrooms, retail floors, hospitality rooms and small offices. They run Cisco IOS XE with full Layer 3 features, support up to 16 virtual networks for SD-Access, and offer secure boot, MACsec and Catalyst Center automation in a footprint that can be desk-, wall- or rack-mounted.

This part number ships with the Network Essentials software license; Network Essentials covers the Layer 2 and Layer 3 access feature set, with an upgrade path to Network Advantage. A Cisco DNA / Catalyst subscription is ordered together with the switch. It is well suited to enterprise wiring closets, branch offices and campus access layers where powered endpoints such as IP phones, Wi-Fi access points and security cameras need to be supported.
