The Soeteck fan wall (wind wall) is a chilled-water precision cooling system installed within the isolation wall of a data hall rather than on the white-space floor. High-capacity cooling coils and fans are embedded in the wall, creating a sealed hot-air return channel and supplying cold air straight into the room, which pairs naturally with hot- and cold-aisle containment.
It is designed for medium and large data centres, including new builds where the cooling can be coordinated with the building structure, and halls where large volumes of air must be moved efficiently at low pressure.
Chilled water passes through I-shaped coils that offer a large heat-exchange area and even airflow, while high-efficiency EC fans provide continuously adjustable air volume with low noise. The control system varies both airflow and water flow and switches between operating modes according to indoor and outdoor conditions, helping lower the facility PUE. Coils and fans are separate modules, widening the choice of sizes, and fan redundancy simplifies installation and maintenance.
ServerInvest sizes, supplies and integrates fan wall cooling with chillers, containment, racks and Supermicro servers, and the hall layout can be designed in our 3D Room Builder.
