The APC AR3157B2 belongs to the second generation of Schneider Electric's NetShelter SX family, the company's premium 19-inch enclosure line for data centres, server rooms and edge sites. It provides 48U of EIA-310 mounting space in a 750 mm wide, 1070 mm deep frame that stands 2258 mm tall, a classic depth that suits mainstream 1U/2U servers, storage and network gear. The extra width provides space for side-mounted cable management and better airflow separation.

The welded steel frame is rated for 1814.4 kg static and 1020.6 kg dynamic (rolling) load, and the 19-inch EIA mounting rails adjust in 6 mm increments, accepting equipment from 261.9 mm to 914.9 mm deep. 2 full-height 0U accessory channels at the rear take vertical rack PDUs and cable managers without consuming rack units. The roof offers five large cable entry points (three front, two rear) and can be removed without tools.

The curved, reversible front door and the flat rear doors are 80% perforated for front-to-back airflow and swing up to 270° (180° when bayed). Split, lockable side panels and 3-point key locking secure the installation, and doors and side panels are keyed alike. Casters and levelling feet are factory-fitted, and baying hardware is included for building rows.

NetShelter SX Gen 2 enclosures are UL listed, RoHS and REACH compliant, and backed by a 5-year Schneider Electric warranty.
