The Eaton SR42UBEXPND is a 42U 4-post open-frame rack from the Tripp Lite Series SmartRack family, built to hold EIA-310 19-inch equipment in secure IT rooms, telecom closets and lab environments. Its external footprint is 1994 mm high, 600 mm wide and 1054 mm deep, and it accepts rack devices from 102 mm up to 940 mm deep. Eaton rates the steel frame for 1588 kg of static load and 1021 kg while rolling.
The open-frame design gives unobstructed airflow and full access to equipment and cabling from every side, ideal for secure rooms where lockable doors are not required.
The vertical mounting rails use square-hole (cage nut) mounting, with numbered rack spaces for quick installation. Toolless 0U mounting points accept vertical PDUs and cable managers without consuming rack units.
Pre-installed removable casters let the cabinet be rolled into position, where adjustable levelers stabilise it on uneven floors. It ships fully assembled for fast deployment. Eaton backs the product with a 5-year limited warranty.
