The Eaton SR42UBKD is a 42U floor-standing rack from the Tripp Lite Series SmartRack family, built to hold EIA-310 19-inch equipment in server rooms, data centres, IT closets and edge sites. Its external footprint is 1994 mm high, 600 mm wide and 1092 mm deep, and it accepts rack devices from 102 mm up to 940 mm deep. Eaton rates the steel frame for 1588 kg of static load and 1021 kg while rolling.

It is supplied as a knock-down kit that ships unassembled, so it can be carried through narrow corridors, lifts and stairwells and built up in place; once assembled it matches the equivalent factory-built SmartRack cabinet.

Security is provided by locking, reversible, removable perforated front door (65%+ open area), locking reversible split perforated rear doors and locking removable half-size (split) side panels, 4 total. The enclosure meets the physical-security requirements of PCI DSS for equipment handling payment card data. The vertical mounting rails use square-hole (cage nut) mounting, with numbered rack spaces for quick installation.

Pre-installed removable casters let the cabinet be rolled into position, where adjustable levelers stabilise it on uneven floors. Built-in baying brackets allow several SmartRack cabinets to be joined into a row on 600 mm / 24 in. centres. Eaton backs the product with a 5-year limited warranty.
