The Soeteck Edge Compact Module is a prefabricated, liquid-cooled data centre in a 20-foot class enclosure. It brings cooling, power protection and IT space together in one unit that is smaller than a standard 40-foot container, making it suitable for sites where floor area and local infrastructure are limited: edge computing nodes for smart city and transport systems, industrial edge stations, outdoor and remote facilities, emergency communication posts and mining operations.
The cooling concept is cold-plate liquid cooling. Four rack-mounted CDUs, each rated at 50 kW, circulate coolant to cold plates on the CPUs and GPUs, while two 30 kW in-row air conditioners remove the remaining heat from memory, drives and power supplies. Around 90% of the heat is captured by liquid (air-to-liquid ratio 1:9), and it is rejected outside through a dry cooler or a closed-circuit cooling tower. Each cabinet supports up to 50 kW, enough for dense edge servers and small AI inference nodes.
A modular UPS with a 300 kVA frame is integrated together with a 512 V 100 Ah lithium battery set that provides roughly 15 minutes of bridging time. The enclosure is designed for ambient temperatures from -30 °C to 55 °C and offers IP54 or better protection against dust and moisture. Integrated monitoring supports remote operation, reducing the need for on-site visits.
Because the module is assembled and tested in the factory, on-site work is mostly limited to positioning, utility connections and the heat-rejection loop, which shortens deployment considerably compared with a built room.
ServerInvest sizes, supplies and integrates the module with liquid-cooled Supermicro servers, power and networking; the interior layout can be planned in our 3D Room Builder.
